Amy: Expecting

Yay!  I am finally getting some images of my friend Amy on the blog.  You should recognize her as Layla’s mom and she is expecting their second little girl any day now.  Despite battling some ferocious wind during our shoot, we nailed some gorgeous shots once we got tucked away from the elements.

Hilary & Nate: Engaged

There is nothing more complimentary than when people from your past, come back to find you when they get engaged.  I originally met Hilary when she was in high school, bussing tables.  She always was an overachiever.  She graduated high school a semester early, pressed on into college classes and then left Fort Wayne to continue her bachelors.  This year she completed school with her Masters, started work for the state of Indiana, and is getting married.  People…she is only 25.  Ahead of the game.

A couple of weeks ago weeks ago, we headed out to do Hilary and Nate’s engagement photos.  While this was just my second time meeting Nate, it became very clear of why he is such a good match to Hilary.  Smart, patient, grounded, dedicated.  It is such an honor to be able capture these moments in this couple’s lives and to know they have so much living to do together.

Alex & Emily: Engaged

This was my first engagement session of the season and I couldn’t have asked for a more easy going couple. Alex and Emily know how to make each other laugh and relax. The other Sunday we strolled along downtown, capturing some of the gorgeous spring blooms in the background. We didn’t get quite the sunset we were hoping for but the light was spectacular.

While you will recognize the Wells Street Bridge in the next few frames, this is my first shot of the new MLK bridge on Clinton.  It does make a nice backdrop. And because you can’t take life quite so seriously, Alex and Emily wanted to incorporate a few photos of a private joke they have.

A Little Monkeying Around

Layla: 2 years old!

We were determined to get smiles out of Layla and we did manage to get a few. But even without a smile, Layla is a cutie pie.
